Sunday At Church

We got to church this morning, and sat down while the band practiced. Caedmon on my left side, Kathryn on my right. The choir was singing "How Great Thou Art", when Kathryn reached over and grabbed my hand in hers. She laid it flat on top of her two little hands and while singing along started to lift my hand up towards heaven. Thinking she was just being goofy I asked "What are you doing silly girl?". She looked up at me and smiled and gave me this simple yet profound reply, "I was just using your hand to pretend it was my heart, so I could offer it up to Jesus."

Faith like a child! That's what we all need.

Been a While

It seems like I have been super busy, though when I look back over the past month or so I wasn't. Wonder why that was?

Anyway, I am now working more at hubby's store. I am finally getting to work some downstairs with customers. I really enjoy it. It's nice to stand there and chat with people as they make their purchases.

Both of the kids are good, still driving me batty. Right now I am watching my son walk around with a trash can (clean one we use to store toys) on his head saying "I am a Robot". Should be funny to watch, but considering I sent them to their rooms for their rest time, it's not.

We have a kitten! It is black with a few stray white furs all over. The poor Kitten doesn't have a name yet. Mostly because we can't figure out if it is a boy or a girl. I suppose eventualy we will name it instead of just calling it "cat", or in Cory's case "Stupid Cat".

My parents were up last week for a visit, and Cory's Dad will be up this week. I love having family come to visit. I just don't love all the cleaning that goes along with it. The sad truth is that most of it isn't necessary, they are coming to see us after all, not the house. Yet still I run around trying to get everything spotless.

I need a break

I don't know what is wrong with my chidren. It seems since school has started one or both of them has been sick constantly. Thankfully not sick enough to warrent missing school, but it has not made living with them any fun at all.

Just today my son who loves going to school refused to get out of the car at the drop off. I had to circle around, park and climb in the back of the Tahoe and pull him out of the car and literally drag him into school.
Once inside he was fine. And he seemed fine when I picked him up, until we got to the door to go outside. Then he starts crying because he doesn't want to go home yet. So I had to drag him to the car, while he cried and everyone watched us.

Now that we are home waiting on lunch to finish cooking he has been in the corner twice and is now laying on his bed all for hitting Kathryn, and for throwing things.

My parents used to joke to my brother and I about selling us off to the gypsies when we would misbehave. I am starting to think it sounds like a good idea.

I hope this passes and he gets in a better mood. It stinks it happens on the one day Cory is out of town. lol

Welcome to The Nuthouse

Ah my first post, I love typing the first post. Of course I also love writting on the very first page of a notebook. There is just something wonderful about making a mark on a blank notebook.

Anyway I thought I would start this blog so I could share about our life, as a family. As well as so I would have somewhere to record all the adorable things my kiddos do.

For instance my Birthday was this past Saturday. Cory (DH) gave me a laptop for my gift as well as he set our home up with wireless internet.
My 5 year old son Caedmon just calls to me from the playroom upstairs "Hey mom, call dad and see if he can tell you how to conifgure the network so I can print from up here." Yes that means that my 5 year old knows more then I do as it took me a second to figure out what a "network" was, but it also means that he has gotten on the internet by himself.
Scares me a little to be honest.. lol.

Well I will now end my first post so I can go finish lunch. What does it say when one of you comfort foods of choice is Hamburger Helper??
